This skills day is the first day (PART ONE) of a two day navigation course. At the end of this single day you'll be on the road to becoming safe and idependent in the mountains. The perfect introduction to navigation for complete beginners or those who need a refresher. Part two is a recap and advancement on part one and is usually delivered during the afternoon into the night, so that night navigation can be introduced.

Weather forecasts,Safety in the mountains, Equipment, Using the map to navigate, Introduction to navigational tools,Taking a bearing, Walking on a bearing

Refresh on all topics from part one, Aspect of slope, boxing, aiming off, Back bearings, Night navigation

*** Day one of the course runs from 10am until 4pm, day two runs from 3pm until 9pm. For a supplement, we can offer an overnight camping experience to link the two days on dates that suit you***

- Fully qualified and experienced Mountain Leaders to teach you all the skills you'll need

- Use of our maps and compasses (but we encourage you to get your own)

- A guaranteed good day out in the hills with lots of learning to be had!

- Personal clothing (we can help out with some things if you don't have everything on the kit list)
